We've decided to spend some time playing with stop-motion. The kids have all done these on their own, and really enjoy creating their stories. We've started using iMovie to create the film aspect, add sound effects and titles, etc. I am helping with the editing and such, but the creativity is theirs.
This evening, we watched this video on how to up the quality of the kid's films:

H and J have chosen a couple of goals to work on for future films:
1. Using a Lego board that is attached to a table to "keep the people from moving all over...make scenery...and keep them from falling over."
2. Keep the camera still (in one place). We're using an iPad for this, so we don't have a tripod.
H has already created one this evening, which I will post. J wanted to work on one he had already created, which resulted in much cropping in post - but he persevered!
I am stoked to see how their next batch of films turn out! We will work on story boarding and such for their next projects.
